Neelotpal Lahkar, known by the stage name MINIMI is a bilingual rapper from Nalbari, Assam who raps in both Assamese and English. The song 'Puhor' celebrates our strength, courage and faith in ourselves.
I was responsible for the Concept, direction, Cinematography and editing of the music video. For this video I wanted the visuals to be soothing, calm and inspiring at the same time. As it is a lyric video I didn't want the visuals to be too distracting, I wanted the visuals to compliment the song. Hence, I chose to shoot the video in natural scenic places and combine it with soothing aerial landscapes.
Jasminson Tlang helped find the best scenic locations around Shillong. Also special thanks to Jawja Phungin and Madhurjya Deka for helping with the shoot. The entire project was shot over the course of one month.
