Sibélis-the-Spirit-of-Snow is the Spirit of the crystallized snow under the bright winter sun. Still, like a Byzantine Empress made of ice, the white and golden ethereal Sibélis surprises the audience when she slowly, ceremonially moves, while "singing" her magical, healing hymn of Hope.

Sibélis is the Snow that protectively covers the Earth with its soft, white, icy veil, thus offering the tormented Nature the time to peacefully rest and heal. She is the deep, beneficial sleep that comes after a weep. Like a "visual lullaby", like a mother's tender caress, the sparkling Snow playfully encounters the sun, keeping the dream alive with its ethereal golden and white beauty, turning the sorrow into a calm hymn of hope. While, in the meantime, under the surface, the seeds are nurtured which, when the moment comes, will give way to new, healthy fruits, thus ensuring the rebirth and perpetuation of life.

Sibélis-the-Spirit-of-Snow was conceived as a public-space performance. Inspired by the Byzantine Icons and by the sweet, melancholic tune of the "Karelia Suite Ballad" of Jean Sibelius, Sibélis is a magical character that stems from the elements of nature as much as from the ancient myths and legends.
Like an incarnated dream, Sibélis invades reality through Image, Sound, and Movement, reaching for peoples' imagination and inviting them to rediscover their inner selves through a ritual of healing and hope.
