Olive Branch-Final Presentation

Event Concept
This is a small event that is meant to take place in a coffee house. It will consist of a performance from a small jazz group, followed by the opportunity for musicians in the audience to get up and improv with the group. It is meant to be kept small.
Target Concept: Unique & Unity
For an event where the vibe is supposed to be relaxed and peaceful, and where people are meant to be united, a classic symbol of peace and friendship seemed more than appropriate.

The hand-drawn, mismatch type hints at the more indie, underground scene surrounding the event. The horn allows for a small reference to what is actually taking place, while still tying in the theme of the olive branch.
First are some of the primary logo sketches. For these thumbnails, many revolved around the name being "Olive Branch." The goal was to combine mismatch letter forms for match the vision for the vibe of the event. The right sketch in the second row is what led to the finalized logo.
The secondary logo sketches aimed to combine the "Olive Branch" concept with the event that was actually taking place. This led to using the olive branch elements with instruments. The sketch in the bottom left corner was the inspiration behind my final design.
Colors #1 and #2 were the original ones used for the logos. They were chosen because they were nicely toned olive shades. Color #4 was incorporated next, in order for there to be a lighter shade that I could use for contrast. Color #3 was added last, as a median between the others, and primarily for use in typefaces.
