After researching several potential topics for my advocacy project, I chose to dedicate the term to the issue of food waste. 1.3 billion tons of food is wasted every year in the world yet over 800 million people go to bed hungry. I researched and designed an information pamphlet as well as an interactive digital publication for the iPad using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. I focused on the negative environmental impacts that food waste causes as well as targeting different people in the food supply chain providing them tips on how to prevent and reduce food waste. 

 

The 'Food Waste' digital publication I designed incorporates fun interactive pages where the user can explore the kitchen and fridge to learn more about where food is wasted and what to do to reduce food waste. All illustrations are drawn by me.
