TEAM LIQUID x NARUTO
Tiago and FD had a fantastic opportunity to work with the Vizmedia brand Naruto for the Akatsuki x Team Liquid Apparel Collaboration. This was a tough project with a lot of factors influencing the outcome of the piece including working with IRL footage. The footage was provided already keyed, so Tiago’s main role in this project was building the 3D world, compositing and VFX, while FD’s work focused on creating 3D clothing assets.
Behind the Scenes
Tiago thought it would be cool to show some of the process by taking some pictures while he worked on the project. He made a video to showcase the development of his work behind the scenes. This is just a snapshot of what he went through creatively from development to final product.
This project provided an exciting opportunity for Tiago to collaborate with the talented 3D artist FD. Having FD was such a huge help as normally Tiago works alone creating all the 3D assets but FD did such a fantastic job at turning the clothing into 3D models for this collaboration launch. They worked closely together peer-assessing and improving each other's work. Collaborating with like-minded creatives is such a freeing experience, but they both wish they had more time to play around with the dynamics of the clothes like adding some sort of wind and movement but time was a big limiting factor on this project.
