I really love this kind of shooting, because it is a kind of meditation. This is usually a very long process, but nevertheless it is very fun. First of all, I determine the approximate theme of the composition, most often it is something in the lifestyle genre. Then I try to find objects that are in harmony in shape and color, but at the same time I adhere to the given theme.
To photograph flatlay, you need a special tripod and preferably a laptop, so as not to get up on a chair and not get off it back and forth. Having connected a laptop to the camera, I control everything from the laptop, change the exposure settings, change the composition and immediately see on the screen how the plot is lining up.
