Context
Sicredi is a cooperative financial institution and an international reference for its system operating model. There are 108 affiliated credit unions, which operate with a service network with more than 2,000 branches. Sicredi is one of the top 2 Icatu’s comercial partner and asked us to design a self-serve platform for accession of their new pension plans for their employees.

My Role
As a senior product designer from Icatu’s Digital Team, my role was to work together with stakeholders within both companies by moderating workshops and working with developers by providing all assets and documentation needed to plan and execute, including wireframing, prototyping, user testing, visual QA, and weekly showcases to stakeholders.



The investment language is so intricate and complicated sometimes that we found that using wireframes was an easier way to keep everyone on the same page.


The Opportunity
Even though Icatu's Digital Team usually don't work for with third parties, the company saw this opportunity as a way to straighten bonds with a strategic partner. SicrediI’s HR team had a high volume of calls regarding their pension plans and low accession rates. Their employees were lacking confidence and knowledge about how pension plans work and how they should proceed in order to sign up for it.

The Solution
We designed a multipurpose platform where employees could understand what pension plans would fit their need better, and also start their own subscription. All that through a dynamic landing page, with a powerful CRM and a step-by-step easy to use questionnaire.

Learnings & Outcomes
I learnt through multiples interviews with stakeholders and users how hard it is to translate business cliches into day-to-day vocabulary. Particularly in a country where 71% of the population doesn’t know how to invest money, feeling confident about what to do with your hard earning money is imperative.​​​​​​​

From our beta release, we had astonishing 500 accessions in the first weekend and only 2 calls to the HR team. 2 weeks later our team received a forwarded e-mail from both companies vice-presidents congratulating us for the achievement.
