Since 2006, Castella Imports of Edgewood, NY has hired Douglas Schneider to paint over 120 illustrations for their Mediterranean Food packaging. This year the emphasis was to finish the updating of their herbs and spices labels.
The idea was to show the botanical plant with its flowers and seed pods when applicable, and then frequently show its dried seeds and spices in the foreground.
