The Human Freedom Index
Below is a proposed cover for The Human Freedom Index published by the Cato Institute (United States) and the Fraser Institute (Canada).
The main purpose of this cover was to move away from the typical map or images that usually appear in the cover of other world indices. Instead, we wanted to covey a more abstract representation of freedom. We relied on dynamic shapes and lines, and gradients, that give a sense of growth, flow, evolution. The color gradient applied to the shapes and lines also gives more room to play around with other colors for upcoming editions.
