Japanese Travel Guide Magazine
Firstly, I chose the idea of creating a magazine article that was about Japanese gardens. From there, I built a travel magazine around that. I created the logo, with the ‘O’ representing a rising sun. I also heavily relied on using negative space in order to portray the peace of Japanese gardens. Even though there is a lot of white space, it helps guide the eye around the page instead of looking empty. This is mostly prevalent in the page with the article’s title, with the image being blocked off purposely to create flow.
