Why do we need transcent?

There are many photos piled up in the photo album, but there is not much time to review these photos. Experiences and feelings among neglected photos are forgotten. Forgotten memories can be clarified with various senses. Experiences that combine senses can be remembered longer.

I thought it could change the atmosphere of a certain moment given by the picture into a sense of smell. I matched the scent that feels similar to the CMYK color of the picture. Through this process, the visual elements of the picture are olfactory.

사진이 주는 특정 순간의 분위기를 후각적으로 변환할 수 있다고 생각했습니다. 사진이 가지고 있는 CMYK 색상 체계와 유사한 느낌을 가진 향들을
선정하였습니다. 이와 같은 과정을 통해 사진이 가지고 있는 시각 요소들은 후각화됩니다.

Olfaction of Sight 2

After selecting a color that can represent the picture, CMYK of that color is converted to scent. Only the two colors with the highest ratio among CMYK colors are used to prevent the dullness of scent characteristics.

사진을 대표할 수 있는 색상을 선정한 후, 해당 색상의 CMYK는 향으로 변환됩니다. 향 고유 특성의 무뎌짐을 피하기 위하여 CMYK 중 비율이 가장 높은 두 가지 색상만 향 혼합에 이용됩니다.

transcent's device performs the visual olfactory process based on the functions of air freshener and digital frames.

트랜센트의 디바이스는 자동 향 분사기와 디지털 액자의 기능을 중심으로, 시각의 후각화 과정을 수행합니다.

Dynamic Design Element

The device's rounding shape and airborne design can escape the static boundaries of existing products. In addition, the 10' tilted design distributes the center of gravity to the rear to balance and directs the user's gaze.

Random Reminder

The device randomly plays photos of the linked smartphone and emits scents of the photos.

Digital Frame

Emotional phrases and images on the display, along with scents, can help remind of memories more effectively.

Air Freshener

The vents are located at the back of the screen. The ejected scent naturally points to the user along the round of the device.

Scent Cartridge

The scent cartridge is put into the slot on the back of the device. On the cover at the top, the location of the scented cartridge is located in text. In addition, the scent cartridge was applied with a structure used in the fountain pen cartridge for precise mixing of scents.

Stand and Move

The aluminum frame of the device is used for standing and moving. Portable devices can be used all over the house.
