Odense Teater

Odense Theater is the second oldest theater in Denmark, founded in 1776. Today, the theater is located in the award-winning neo-baroque building from 1914 and is the country's 3rd largest theater with approximately 100,000 guests every year. The theater stands on a strong tradition of performing arts that annually excite, entertain, enlighten and enrich both children and the elderly - and everyone in between.
Across the old stage “Store Scene” it says: “I kunsten kan livet kendes” (translates to In art, you see life), and from that perspective a new identity has been created based on reflections. The identity originates in the classical theater as well as in the majestic building with the arched doorways and high narrow windows in the facade. The classic and historical elements are integrated with a modern twist and has a precise sharpness, that gives a current, elegant and contemporary expression. The classic and modern expression combined with the reflections is consistent in the logo, web design, the theatre's visual and printed material as well as merchandise and is topped with its own font. At the same time, the new identity has started a large renovation project of the entire audience area. The identity of the Theater is linked together from the outside to the inside - from the guest meets the theater in the urban space till they are entertained in the seats.
