La Luna
            By Michaela Miller
La Luna was designed as a lamp with a creative and interactive function. A moon theme was always the plan but the project changed quite a bit from the initial idea. La luna can hang on the wall and act as a nightlight and decorative piece. The light that shines through the moon is programmed to change with the phases of the moon. The code has the full eight phases of the moon. Since it takes around a month for the moon to go through all of it's phases, the light changes every three days. It starts at new moon, goes to waxing crescent, then first quarter, etc. It essentially is a nightlight that can mimic the real night light.
