Thunderclap is a small cloud that will hang from my dorm room ceiling. It is 3D printed and the dimensions of the cloud are approximately 8 in. x 5 in. x 2.5 in. This is a little bit different from my original idea, as ideas typically change throughout the prototyping process. As for the interactive portion of the lamp, Thunderclap models what a thunderstorm would look like, so there are flashes of light with the LED's based upon the amount of noise in the room. Sadly, the microphone is not perfect, so there is lots of "lightning" even when I think there shouldn't be. There is also a signifier on the cloud that lets a random user know to clap if they want to interact with Thunderclap.
