The story behind the graphics:

Many centuries ago in the samurai district of usuki, lived tsuyo and his family. Tsuyo’s grandfather, kashikoi, was the wisest of all the village and was also very good at inventing things.

Kashikoi had recently made a drink from rice, and was teaching tsuyo how to make a batch. Out of every batch made, Kashikoi’s was always the better tasting. Tsuyo tried and tried but could never reach the compelling flavour of his grandfather’s batches.

Kashikoi explained that it was more than just purely technique, that you had to put your energy and heart into  everything you did, and you will see a difference. As it was getting dark, Kashikoi went to collect firewood, Tsuyo
stayed and tried to perfect a batch, his grandfather’s words replaying in his mind.

Suddenly a ferocious roar echoed across usuki, the earth shook and the full moon appeared from beneath the clouds. Tsuyo saw a group of villagers surrounding a fallen matsu tree. To his disbelief it was Kashikoi.

Tsuyo held his grandfather in his arms as kashikoi said his
final words:
“The ancient dragon Hageshii has escaped from his cave on Mt. Takai, and it is your destiny, grandson, to slay the beast.”

Tears ran down Tsuyo’s face as Kashikoi took his last breath, but he knew what he had to do. Fueled with anger, Tsuyo launched himself at the neck of the dragon and began to stab it, but it had no effect on Hageshii’s hard scales.

His grandfather’s words echoed in his mind:
“Put your energy and heart into everything you did, and you will see a difference.”

Tsuyo drew energy from his loss, gathered his anger, closed his eyes and stabbed the beast’s neck. Hageshii roared and blew fire into the night. His fiery breath caught the moon alight. the cool winds of the mountain extinguished the ball of fire before the moon was completely gone.

Hageshii’s head dropped to the ground, his body turned limp. Tsuyo returned to his cheering
village.

He cried out to his family and friends:
“LET THIS BE AN INSPIRATION TO ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS, PUT ALL YOUR ENERGY AND HEART INTO EVERYTHING YOU DO, OR DO NOT BOTHER AT ALL. I WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SLAY HAGASHII IF IT WASN ’T FOR KASHIKOII’S WISE LAST WORDS. I WILL CONTINUE HIS LEGACY OF RICE DRINK MAKING, AND ONCE I PERFECT THE BATCH , I SHALL CALL IT BLACK MOON."
