Sprite Spark Parks
Sprite Spark Parks Project is investing $2 million to construct, refurbish and refresh more than 150 neighborhood parks, athletic fields, playgrounds and basketball courts in 2011. the Spark Parks Facebook Application accepted nomination of local parks for six weeks from the NBA All Star Game to the first week in April. Over 3,000 parks were nominated, from which 70 will be selected and put to a national vote.
24 courts distributed around the country will get a grant of $25,000 to refurbish their courts. Winners will be announced in June of 2011.
