Grafunkt x Tschumi

Grafunkt x Tschumi
This project is about curating a window store front that conceptualised my personal interpretation of Grafunkt and Bernard Tschumi. Grafunkt is a furniture store with very clean and modern designs but at the same time having this input of uniqueness and personality. Whereas, Tschumi is this architect of deconstructivism with many works but specifically, I chose to just look at his most famous project Parc de La Villete as I felt it captures the most of his beliefs and personality.
An attempt to reconfigure the Parc de La Villete through movement of "red".
This project is mainly driven by thinking through making. Tschumi have this ideology of red not being a colour but rather an expression of architectural concepts. Through interpretation of looking at Parc de La Villete, the coloured follies can be viewed as points that direct movement. This segregates the park into points, colour and movement which will be the main elements directed into my exploration.
A series of collages composition that depicts points, colour and movement through geometry.
The best patterns that best represented the interpretation of points, colour and movement were then translate into 3D composition to better understand the voids and negatives.
The best interpreted composition was used to further create variation of mock-up windows through playing with different materiality and spatial elements like layers and voids.
The final product was a window that intrigues curiosity of people to look into the points that depict layer of movements.
