CHALLENGE: create tactile typography using non-digital tools with a theme of "culture". 

In the initial brainstorming for this project, I was thinking about what culture meant to me. I don't have any connections to the home countries of my ancestors, and I've moved around a lot so I have a place I consider my hometown. Because of my dad's occupation, we moved pretty frequently. Conceptually, I chose to continue with the words "freedom" and "movement". These ideas led me to think of a dandelion, how the head looks like a firework, and how the wind carries it away after its grown. I feel very connected to this idea. Every place I've lived, I've planted my roots and grown, then one day the wind takes me to the next place. I eventually landed on the phrase, "a perpetual nomad".
