Over a one month period, I created a project for social good, based off a design prompt for my third and final portfolio piece - Google UX Design Certificate. I designed a user experience to tutor young adults in technical skills. The Steam Skills program covers all 5 academic categories (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) and allows users to learn, test and add skills to their resume. The program was designed as both a dedicated mobile app, and responsive website (mobile, tablet and desktop).

After the I completed the usability study on my lo-fi prototype, I added additional instructional text, easily recognizable icons throughout, and for accessibility designed for the ability to interact with each lesson in three different ways; watch, listen, and read.

When adapting from the mobile app, to a responsive website I considered the use cases, and worked hard to maintain a clean, easy to navigate space. I used colours and icons to keep a consistent experience across all platforms, and enhanced features for the full desktop version when able.
