THE PROJECT
To create cover and interior illustrations for April's issue of The Curbside Chronicle. The main theme and story was adapted from U.K.'s leading street paper, The Big Issue, and titled "Letter To My Younger Self". In this column - mainly using the medium of letter writing - they ask celebrities and notable activists to reflect on who they were growing up and how they became the person we know today. Dolly Parton wrote one of the five letters featured, and was chosen for the cover due to her contributions to vaccine research and ultimately her drive for progress as we reflect on the past year. Featured is a young and current Dolly and the section-opening illustration is an homage to M.C. Escher's, all to bring the theme of reflection home.
