La baraja española ha sufrido multitud de cambios estéticos desde que fue adoptada en Nápoles durante el dominio de Aragón en 1442. El diseño actual fue diseñado por Augusto Ríus para Fournier en 1889. Hace 125 años que la baraja española clásica no ha sufrido ninguna modificación, y esta baraja es el resultado final de un rediseño meticuloso con la finalidad de renovar su imagen clásica y, acercarla a un público mayoritariamente más joven.

The Spanish Playing Cards has undergone many aesthetic changes since it was adopted in Naples during the rule of Aragon in 1442. The current design was designed by Augusto Ríus for Fournier in 1889. 125 years ago  has not been modified, and this is the end result of meticulous redesign in order to renew their classic image and bring it to a mostly younger audience.
