Peter Stamm is a prize-winning Swiss author, who is most known for his cool and sparse writing style. My task was to create a cover for the Ukrainian translation of his short stories collection Seerücken, 2011 (in English it is known by "The Ridge").

Draft
All stories in this book are about ordinary people who are trying to figure their lives out. And core feeling it evokes in me is that everything is not what it seems. The stories take place in one specific area —Switzerland, so I wanted to make a reference to that. I was really glad that the Publisher chose my favourite "grass" sketch, so I've used it as a metaphor for the Swiss land: at a first glance it seems to be as organised as books on the shelves, but looking at the back-side — you will see a grassy mess, a life itself.
