A short interview about my art
Hello, my name is Olga Rodzik, I am 24 years old, I come from Kherson, but now I live in Odessa, even closer to the sea, which I love so much.  I believe in streams of energy, I love jazz, I do not like cats and I am that happy person who, since childhood, has been exclusively engaged in creativity in its various manifestations.

— How and when and why did you decide to become an illustrator?
When I was studying for a master's degree in fashion design, I learned what fashion illustration is, but at first I remained indifferent to it.  Later, I was inspired by the work of Scott Mason, and I became more interested in the topic of fashion illustration and tried myself in this direction.  I was looking for myself in different styles and when I felt more confident in the role of an illustrator, I realized that I did not want to stop this process and I want to learn more and concentrate on this.

— Did you study your craft professionally or self-taught?
I got the basics of fine arts while studying to be an artist and then a fashion designer.  But I studied fashion illustration myself, I was terribly admired by illustrators of the past and present, I watched, read, analyzed and tried.  Love for the fashion industry and art base allowed me to quickly grab the right vibe and find my own style.

— Who are you inspired by?
In this period, I am impressed by the work of Ariadna Sysoeva, Maria Erokhina and the original graphics of Artaksiniya.  I endlessly admire what Daniel Roseberry is currently creating for Schiaparelli, clothes by designer Issey Miyake, and Jacquemus' ability to work with color and details.  In general, I am inspired more by the number of designers and illustrators, everyone has something to learn.

— What did you enjoy the most about creating fashion illustrations?
Since I have little experience in creating designer clothes, I know very well this feeling when a flat sketch turns into a suit, this feeling of awe always fills me when I see the masterpieces of fashion brands.  This is perhaps my favorite in fashion illustration making, so I manage to express my love for this beautiful industry.  Plus, now I'm interested in studying body plastic by transforming it.

— Who would you be if you weren't an artist?
I would probably have my own brand of clothing and accessories, it would be environmentally friendly production and recycling, because I am concerned with the topic of ecology.  But in this I definitely plan to be realized, but later.

— What is your biggest professional dream?
Of course, like all illustrators, I want to design and create for my favorite designers.  I also want to combine my love for clothes and illustrations into a single product, perhaps at the moment this is my biggest dream.  But most of all I like the way in illustration, to explore myself with the help of it, to learn to reveal myself as much as possible from the inside, so that my work would be a reflection of me.  Because fashion illustration for me is not just about drawing girls in pretty dresses.
