Artist's Notes:
One of my new favorite game series' is Rhythm Heaven, mainly for its fun visuals and concepts over the foundation of following the rhythm of music. Every minigame they feature is unique and made with love, and DJ School is one of the standouts that come to mind.
The whole entire idea is that you play as a student to a DJ instructor, referred to as DJ Yellow obviously, being taught to scratch a record in time to the music. A simple idea, but just enough to enjoy it on its own grounds.
I thought of representing this minigame by matching its dynamic and goofy nature to an eye-darting poster concept. This plays to my developing understanding of perspective and composition, but let's not think too deep into this quick fun piece.
