Feathers by Rin MRG (poem)

Its like the world around you isn’t real sometimes.
No matter how loud, how close, how far.
You’re forever falling into a tunnel that repeats.
your heart becomes an empty hole that will never be filled.
Your lungs will fill with water, your body will turn old, your hands will shake, every time you see someone you love that’s happy with someone else anxiety will spread like an electric shock.
When you look in the mirror all you will see is your refection from when you were a little girl.
She smiles you stare
She looks up as if you were the goddess of light.
But soon her smile fades and tears form on her face, the goddess of darkness has arrived.
You must look away, look away in shame as the girl shakes her head .
Every time, you see a mirror you look away.
Nothing but a glance at you, nothing but a rumour, nothing but sheers of lies could dig deeply into your skin causing breakage all over.
Silver turns red, magic you say. pain another inside stretches.
But you can’t feel, deeper you go.
emotion pours out, wiped away by streams of water.
You slowly drag your hair back, looking up at the shower of water that spreads over your damaged body. Streams of red collide with streams of clear.
Tears stroke your face, and you can’t stand no more.
You let out your voice, but nobody can hear.
Anger grabs you holding you down, anxiety snatches your neck, pain pushes you down with a hot poker.
it drags you back to the darkness never letting you see what you are again.
With all your mite you try but you fail again and again.
Soon theirs nothing left but the broken pieces

The little girl tuts and walks away
