Media: Graphite and Adobe Photoshop

The objective for this project was to do a book cover design for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey. I knew that I wanted to feature the narrator, Bromden, on the cover and the juxtaposition of sanity versus the clinily insane. I spent some time thinking about how I would want express Bromden's apparent schizophrenia and the main antogonist, the combine. I chose to use a rendered graphite look to represent the world for what it is and the jarring affect of digital blue and red to represent the combine.
