The Laboratory of Anthony d'Ailly

A 3D reconstruction of a 1812 painting by Johannes Jelgersma of the apothecary owned by Anthony d'Ailly (1766-1825). The building along with an extensive house was built in 1766 on the then edge of Amsterdam near the Zaagmolenpoort. The laboratory in the front of the painting was used to manufacture quinine along with other chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
