The project idea is based on Russian poet’s Yesenin poem "The Black Man" as a symbolic embodiment of man's titanic struggle against the self as his own enemy. Yesenin’s poetry is much interpreted and well-known throughout the world. The basic idea of the project is the reproach to man's constant neglect and suppression of conscience, lead by desire to reach the goal and personal gain by taking the comfortable shortcuts in life. Modern man will always place blame on someone or something else, but himself. The guiding idea of modern man is to avoid all resposnibilities imposed by morals, society or anything else, if they are in the way of achieving instant personal pleasure.
The message behind this project is to poit out and to emphasize, not the role of the society, but the role of each individual whose actions directly affect and define the society. By using sensations, travelling through various media, we are hoping to reach the wide audience and make them face their own Black Man... if they haven't already.
