Now let's move on to how the LED strip light should be connected to the power supply.

We supply our LED strips in 1 meter lengths or 5 meter spools.

An input connector (connector) can be ordered for each piece of LED strip. All types of connectors are ordered as separate headings and, as a rule, are not included in the standard set of LED strips

If you need to shorten the LED strip , to which the connector is already soldered, you will have to go through all the appropriate steps yourself in order to be able to connect the connector to the cut. You may also need to connect two or more pieces of LED strip. There are two ways to make additional connections to the LED strip in places where there are no pre-installed input connectors required for use in your particular case. You can use connectors with a pressure mechanism or use soldered connections.

To begin with, let's consider the connection of LED strips using pressure connectors. These connectors are suitable for 8mm and 10mm tapes. No tools are required to connect the tape lengths with these connectors together. This type of connector is not suitable for use with ultra-high brightness LED strips due to the high power consumption. To use these connectors with the selected LED strip, make sure that, when aligned, the RED wire hits the pad with the “+” mark on the tape and that the BLACK wire hits the pad with the “-” mark on the tape.

To connect the connector, gently pull back on the black clip on the connector and insert the LED strip into the socket, pushing all the way to ensure that the pads of the strip fit into the pins inside the body of the connector.

To complete the connection, push back the small black clip with equal force on both sides, pressing the tape against the body of the connector. Pull gently on the LED strip to make sure it is firmly clamped in the connector. Now there are two wires connected to the LED strip, and you can connect them to the LED driver, which has screw terminals as input and output connectors. Alternatively, these screw-type connectors can be used in conjunction with 018058 connectors for quick connection to a standard power supply.

Note that there are "+" and "-" marks on the 018058 connector housing to show how the wires should be connected. LED strips are also marked “+” and “-”, so make sure the wires are connected properly: “+” on the connector to “+” on the LED strip, and “-” on the connector to “-” on the strip.

Now just connect the output connector of the power supply to 018058 .
