Human Trafficking Awareness Poster: Forced Labor

OBJECTIVE 
To raise awareness on the silent issue of Human Trafficking segment – Human Labor 


RATIONALE
To emphasize the danger and consequences of making a deal with strangers and build focus around men labor within the sector.  

The blue colour is used to refer to Blue Collar workers – those who perform manual labour. 

FORCED LABOUR 

The share of detected trafficking victims exploited in forced labour is 38%, according to The United Nations Report and data provided starting in 2018 and most recent years.  
 
The most common economic sectors for the victims to be involved in are Domestic, Construction Work, Fishing, Agriculture, Catering, Street Trading, Garment, Mining. 

Adult men are mostly exploited on large construction sites or the fishing industry, meanwhile women and girls in domestic servitude.   

The most vulnerable to traffickers are people in economic need, undocumented migrants, children in dysfunctional families, persons who are marginalized and have mental disorders. Besides, the situation with COVID-19 is bringing its impact on an increase in the numbers of potential victims.
