DENIM UNDERGROUND - part 2

Just a quick fill for a project that started just over six months earlier. The aim was to take a pair of raw denims, have them worn for three months, then have them burried for a further three, before their first wash.

Part two is simply a fill between the dig and the development of the actual images.

Some amazing results, extremly happy with how the final product turned out, another reason for my obsession with denim.

part three and four coming shortly.
Before first wash (light wash, water only), denim literally falling to pieces with plant growth 'through' textile.
Oxidisation over all metal surfaces.
Almost total break down on right side wearing back leg.

Roots, growing through seams and stitch details.
Top facing side, considerably less broken down than under side.
strong discolouration over the entire remaining surface.
Huge diffence in strength of the denim, both fused and unfused areas.
