Santafiora was born from the entrepreneurial challenge by Mrs. Giulia Caporossi who, in 1960, decided to bet on the stone that she saw emerging along the road that connected the town of Farnese, in Lazio, to the one of Manciano, in Tuscany. Intrigued by the beige-brown rock outcrops, she had thorough coring performed.

It was therefore discovered that, hidden in the soil, laid one of the largest deposits of Italy of lithoid sandstone, the Santafiora® stone, that owned unique features of hardness and beauty.
Following this unforeseen and great intuition, there were founded the factories and laboratories for the processing of this stone.

Over the years, Santafiora® stone has proved to be the most requested earth colored natural stone for internal and external floorings and coverings throughout Italy, thanks to its excellent technical properties as hardness, resistance and durability but, above all, by virtue of its unmatched aesthetic characteristics.

Over time, the stone Santafiora® has connected its name not only to the region from where it comes, Tuscany, but also to world-famous architects and designers who have chosen it for the realization of the most varied works, from private or public buildings, to hotels, skyscrapers, monuments, squares, further up to artistic works or designs objects. These pieces of works will always remain as a testimony of mankind ability to imagine, to invent and transmit itself and its story through the concept that moves everything: beauty.
