During August 2021 I took some time out of my holiday in beautiful Cape Town to photograph Cobus from WaWa Wooden Surf Boards located in Muizenberg, a beach-side town in the Western Cape. His store is perfectly situated near the shore of the Cape Peninsula and is considered to be the main surfing spot in Cape Town and is currently home to a surfing community. Cobus is the head shaper and owner of an anachronistic little wooden surfboard company where quality, respect for our roots and a belief in the sanctity of nature are cornerstones.
