This was an image produced for a double page spread for Schweppes while working at Seagulls Fly Studio. The final image was built out of 4 shots of the models (as you will see on the sequence below) and a vector vignette done by my friend Marcelo "Morsa" Rizetto. The art director Luis Londres, wanted a golden tone for the image with special attention to the model's skin.
From this other shot the male model was chosen. Note that it would be necessary to reconstruct part of the model's hair and shirt.
After positioning the models, I started the physical part of the image reconstructing the models hair and shirt, and positioning the new head on the model on the left. after this I did basic touch ups (cleaning, brightening the teeth, etc).
After the physical treatment I started the color treatment based on the art directors references. All the color correction and retouching is done always in RGB mode. Only when the image is complete is when I make a CMYK flat (simplified layers) which is the final version for print. up to now, the image was retouched on a gris (neutral gray) background.
