Bornand brought up in a small village of Himachal Pradesh in the Western Himalayan Regionin India, Ajay Saklani stepped into the most challenging filed, the documentaryfilmmaking. To experiment with, he shot his first documentary 'Dyalee - AFading Glory' in 2006 about the fading culture and changing cultural values, withoutany formal education or experience in filmmaking. Realizing the importance offormal education, he completed his Masters in Mass Communication &Journalism in 2009 after working as a video editor with two TV channels and asa media assistant in a central university under UGC.
Ina short span of time, Ajay Saklani has produced and directed 2 independent shortdocumentaries and 3 short films. He has worked in more than 15 shortdocumentaries as an Assistant Director, done research work in 5 shortdocumentaries, edited 25 documentaries, more than 50 television programmes and100 plus episodes of TV reality shows.
