VAGINA DENTATA - FINAL PROJECT
Com o conceito formado, foi possível a realização de um objeto real para apresentação formal através da diminuição da escala. Assim, foi desenvolvido e construído uma caixa de 30cm x 30cm, revestida a azulejo, contendo, por dentro, os dados relativos à violência doméstica.
With the concept formed, it was possible to create a real object for formal presentation by decreasing the scale. Thus, a 30cm x 30cm box was developed and built, covered with tiles, containing, inside, the data related to domestic violence.
Vagina Dentata é uma lenda folclore presente em várias culturas, que consiste na aparição de mulheres com dentes na vagina. Normalmente, este pretexto é associado ao perigo de relações sexuais com desconhecidos, doenças e castração. As histórias divergem de região para região, grande parte com o desfecho da existência de um homem herói que viola a vagina dentata de modo a partir os dentes e a libertar a mulher. Por outro lado, também existe a fábula da mulher sedutora que utiliza a sua vagina dentata contra o homem malfeitor, a fim de se proteger dos perigos constantes da violência sexual.
Vagina Dentata is a folklore legend present in various cultures, which consists of the appearance of women with teeth in the vagina. Usually, this pretext is associated with the danger of sexual relations with strangers, diseases and castration. The stories differ from region to region, largely with the outcome of the existence of a hero man who violates the dentata vagina in order to break the teeth and free the woman. On the other hand, there is also the fable of the seductive woman who uses her dentate vagina against the malefactor in order to protect herself from the constant dangers of sexual violence.

Caixa I:
O interior da Caixa I foi revestido com latéx, de modo a ter vários tamanhos e saliências para sobressair a sua textura. O objetivo era criar um lugar desconhecido e que causasse certa repulsa a quem decidisse interagir com o trabalho.
Box I:
The interior of Box I was coated with latex, in order to have various sizes and protrusions to highlight its texture. The objective was to create an unknown place that would cause a certain repulsion to those who decided to interact with the work.
Caixa II:
O interior da Caixa II foi tratado de forma a criar pressão, com o intuito de o espectador forçar a sua entrada para entrar no objeto. Assim, construiu-se uma almofada de tecido napa e enchimento de tecido esponja, que seria o bucal de entrada da caixa. No seu forro utilizou-se os mesmos tecidos para criar alguma textura.
Box II:
The interior of Box II was treated in such a way as to create pressure, in order for the spectator to force his way into the object. Thus, a pad of nappa fabric and sponge fabric filling was constructed, which would be the entrance mouthpiece of the box. In its lining the same fabrics were used to create some texture.
