Visual narrative with infographic elements that wants speak to us about the history of the great crisis of Western Civilization from the Enlightenment to the Contemporary Age, a crisis accentuated by spiritual decadence and also where materialism, unregulated capitalism and the relativization of scientific truths , Ethical values and religious systems has brought to us with the breakdown of the social order and the construction of increasingly interconnected societies but at the same time more individualized and atomized, a problem that has been analyzed through different fields of thought, whether religious, philosophical or scientific. whether from Marxism (Frankfurt School) existentialism (Heidegger, Camus, Sartre) neoconservatism (Fukuyama, Scruton) or postmodernism (Zizek, Byung Chul Han). We take as a title the analysis that the German historian Oswald Spengler made, The Decline of the West, as a prophetic voice of the rise and fall of civilizations.
Desde la Biblia, pasamos por las páginas de George Orwell, Aldous Huxley o Michel Onfray...Narrativa visual que busca a partir de elementos infográficos relatar la historia de la gran crisis de la Civilización Occidental desde la Ilustración hasta la Edad Contemporánea, crisis acentuada por la decadencia espiritual y asimismo donde el materialismo, el capitalismo desregulado y el relativismo de las verdades científicas, éticas y religiosas ha traído consigo el resquebrajamiento del orden y la construcción de sociedades cada vez mas interconectadas pero al mismo tiempo mas individualizadas y atomizadas, problemática que se ha analizado a través de distintos campos del pensamiento, ya sea religioso, filosófico o científico, ya sea desde el marxismo (Escuela de Frankfurt) el existencialismo, (Heidegger, Camus, Sartre) el neoconservadurismo (Fukuyama, Scruton) o la postmodernidad (Zizek, Byung Chul Han).
Tomamos como título el análisis que hizo el historiador alemán Oswald Spengler, La Decadencia de Occidente, como una voz profética del nacimiento y caída de las civilizaciones.
