“Arch and Rug”
This collection, inspired by the idea of making a connection between rugs and architecture of Iran, is created in collaboration with Yasaman Robaee (Rug expert) and Mar Studio (Silver jewelry designer).
Pieces in this collection are designed based on four ancient Iranian monuments, which are all related to rugs in a way: Taq-e Bostan, Taq-e Kasra, Ali-Qapu and Talar-e Qandil. The rug patterns on each piece is related to the rugs from the region the monument is based in.
The earrings and necklaces are two-sided. One side shows the rug pattern and the other is a mirror which is created based on the motifs associated with the monuments or rugs. The ring has a silver arch, designed and created by Mar Studio specifically for this collection.
For make ups, I tried to bring some colors, that was used in ancient Iranian rugs and architecture, to life. My focus was basically on the eyes and for the hair I kept it as minimal and simple as possible.
