Boston Children's Hospital's shuttle buses and specialty vehicles are a prominent presence on the streets of Greater Boston. Their graphic treatment had never been systematically designed, so we were missing out on a valuable opportunity to make brand impressions. 

 

To put them to work for us I developed a system that clearly identifies them as Boston Children's vehicles. Photography representing our cutting-edge research was used as background patterns and Oracal solid vinyl in our primary brand colors was applied to form dramatic angles. On some vehicles a montage of active kids was added on the windows. The system is flexible enough to be applied to many body styles, holds up in a harsh service environment, and is economical to apply and maintain.

 

We now have a fleet of vehicles on the road that reminds everyone who sees them that we are always out there in the community and also serves the very practical purpose of allowing employees to identify the shuttle they need to take from ones belonging to the many other institutions in our neighborhood.
