Monocraft Lab - Design Office Space
This project is located in the heart of Bukit Mertajam, one of the oldest shophouses in mainland Penang. As the client and the designers for our design office, our main design intent is to express the design vision of what we want to represent as an Interior Design firm.
The main vision of MONOCRAFT LAB -
"Developing Design to Higher Grounds Crafting Obscure Aesthetics and Coherent Functionality"
To reach a substantial level in design against the norm, we have to craft new design solutions to comply with our clients' discerning judgement.
The office space is designed with a few objectives in mind. A comfortable work space, a place where prospective clients can comfortably discuss their space requirements, and a creative space where our designers can express their creative process.
Our office is located above a local restaurant in the old shop lots. With traditional shop lot designs, courtyards placed in the center row, creating a front and back separation of the shop. To maximize light into the office space, we decided to create a window opening with a vision statement.
