A Burning Misty Morning

Atop Wittenham Clumps in South Oxfrdshire, England, I was fortunate to capture the dawn with a layer of mist. There was a clear sky and the sunrise gave the sky and land a wonderful orange glow. I was more impressed by how little post-processing was needed on these images. Aside from the usual vibrance, sharpening that needs to be done to RAW files, the Sony A77 combined with the Sony-Ziess DT16-80 captured the scene as I remembered it. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do, they now grace our walls and make me smile and long for the same conditions again.
Whilst I was there I bumped into a young lad and his father. The lad was studying for a photography exam and this was his homework. He couldn't have picked a more stunning morning.
Another photographer appears through the mist.
After dawn I wandered around to get some countryside shots
This scene just demanded black and white
Cows, mist, trees, power station.... all lit by the rising sun
A house tries to compete with the low mist
