Chosen fabrics influenced by the toughness of deserts;

1- Linen is such a strong and absorbent textile that dries fast which makes it a perfect choice for hot weather.

2- Cotton duck is a weighty, plain, hard woven fabric that's mostly used in making tents.

3- Burlap is a dense and coarse woven fabric that its characteristics allow for many uses. It's durable and resistant to condensation. 

Traditional Siwa clothes had a great impact on designs;

1- Malaya (tarphot): when a married woman goes out she covers her body with several layers and is wrapped with Malaya. 

2- Trousers: Women wear cotton trousers underneath their whole outfits known as (asrawen).

3- Bridal dress: with its simple design, wide and long sleeves.
