The creation of Cabaret Soubois:

My role role as Art Director was to revive the Soubois brand in a new light by turning the restaurant into a cabaret. Through gastronomic delights, pairing spirits, melodious sounds, intuitive lighting effects and eccentric performances all the elements of the restaurant/cabaret experience came together to tell a cohesive & compelling story.
The Story

Through creative writing, I developed a story line that tied in 5 different performers. Each performer represented an element that was brought to life through a creative character development approach.

To stand out from other shows of its kind, we hired a fashion designer (Natalia Baquero) to design high fashionable unique pieces.
The Show
Every element of the show was tied into the story line (pun intended). The lighting, food, drinks, music, the performers and even the scents told the story of a mystical yet romantic encounter of the elements that gave birth to the Soubois' magical underground forest.
