Below is a glimpse at my logo design process. Ideas are explored on paper first, then the final design is manually created in Adobe Illustrator as vector art. First I begin with concept exploration of the icon & symbol. The client's brewery is named after the organic elements needed in the brewing process - Water and Dust. They wanted a logo that was unique to craft beer that didn't have a cliche hop illustration or beer mug. After a few sketches, the water drop and vine graphic are drawn in Illustrator using curves and points. Color, typography and composition are then explored to create a logotype that works well in one color and can be easily read when reduced in size. 

Water & Dust Brewery needed a logo that could also be used as separate pieces. Beginning with the logo lockup, then a strong icon that could stand alone as a favicon or social media icon. The font portion of the logo can also be a strong brand mark on t-shirts including left chest or on the sleeve as an embroidered logo.
