Case study: Designing a payment solution application experience. 

The Problem Statement
Village level operator register farmers to avail loan from reputed banks as part of their task. As a UX Designer, build an experience for the users to be able to register and proceed with loan request without any hassle.

Understanding the Problem Statement
Understanding the problem statement is an essential step before working on the solution in order to direct your focus and efforts into the right direction. Working on the problem statement right away might lead your efforts into an alternate solution that won’t exactly solve the problem.

As a UX Designer, I was tasked with building an experience for users to be able to register & identify cattle. A few things that I took into consideration while working on the case study:

Covering the whole journey from “discovery, define to register/request loan/loan summary”.
Paying attention to “first time user experience”.
From Engineering team I had a clear understanding of how it is going to work in real time.

Primary Research
I started the project by doing some Primary Research.
I have prepared a set of questions to the users. I let the users speak openly and did not want to distract them between the interviews. The question were as follows:

Basic info of the operator - Name, age and qualification?
What they do on daily basis?
How they are assigned the tasks?
In farm what they do first?
How they do their activities one by one?
How they can differentiate the farmer from which dairy they belongs to?
How much time take to complete in register farmer?
How they can choose the bank?
How they can understand this much amount farmers can request for loan?
What all are the pain points they face during their work?
What they do if farmer details are not getting?
What they do if verification is getting delayed?
How they collect identity details of the farmers? 
How complex they found the current approach?

User Interview Insights
Few of the users were worried about user flows to be followed as there are few steps involved to complete the whole process.
Few found difficult while capturing the farmer identity document steps.
They were worried about how they will solve the problem if they get stuck while doing a task.
Few want to know what is the minimum and maximum amount of loan farmers can avail.
Few want to know what is the minimum time to avail loan.

If they don't have proper internet connection how they will be able to complete the task.

Based on gather the insights received from the users I have done I ideation.

Ideation
After doing the research, now was the time to analyze all the insights and come up with ideas to solve the problem. I did a brainwriting session and tried to share those ideas with the engineering team as possible solution to all the problems that the users were facing.

Userflow
Userflows give rise to wireframes, once your flows are solid and you’ve established the number of pages needed as well as what purpose they serve, you can get to designing individual pages to create your wireframes. 

Wireframe/Prototype
I designed the interface screens on the basis of the wireframes that I made earlier.
