This project presents 6 illustrations created for the "Magic Forest challenge"
(the author of the idea is Alexandra Dikaya). The task was to create a series of animals with various accessories and character. There was a specific task for each day. My series consists of six characters, and I am happy to introduce them to you.
Day 1: Bear the musitian in a knitted jumpsuit
For this series, I chose a range of colors that remind of the forest.
Dark colors are used for the background and bright colors are used for luminous elements. This adds a magical atmosphere.
Day 2: Chipmunk the wizard and the mysterious fire
Day 3: Sable the traveler and the patchwork quilt
This character was the most difficult to make, since sables come in different colors.
I chose between dark and light fur color, choosing a different color of clothing for each option. As a result, I decided on the option with light fur and yellow clothes.
Day 4: Cat the leader and a mushroom basket
Many elements of this character are taken from the culture of the Indians.
The mushrooms in the basket were originally fly agarics.
But I thought that it would not look as magical as I want. And I made the mushroom glow,as well as the runes on the character.
Day 5: Boar the guardian with a small backpack
Day 6: Owl the embroiderer and chokolate cookies

My favorite is the Sable, but I love both a bear and a cat very much.
