Update 2021-09-08: New version 1.3 is is available.
• Objects with a height of zero, such as guides, are ignored.
• Objects that are not path objects like real text are ignored.
• The script first asks for the height of a capital letter. If 0 (zero) is entered, the script determines the largest height from the selection itself.
• Punctuation marks with low heights such as full stops or commas are automatically moved back to the baseline without height adjustment.

The script changes the width of letters (glyphs) so that they become bolder. This also works (within limits) in the other direction, i.e. by reducing the width of letters.
1. Open a document in Adobe Illustrator with letters consisting of paths and select them (all).
2. Start the script e.g. by dragging it onto Illustrator.
3. The script asks you for the desired new width (offset), e.g. "0.3 mm".
4. The selected letters are changed in width and can then be saved with Fontself Maker as a new font or style as .oft.
