The Des Moines Community Playhouse is a vibrant community and children's theater space housed within a former 1930s movie theater. Act Two will bring a cohesive approach to the multiple additions and functions included throughout the historic building, ultimately providing visitors a unified experience centered around the performances that give the space its heartbeat. Renovations to the performance space provide a new catwalk, increased accessibility, and theater sound and lighting systems that will improve the visitors experience. Lobby improvements include new concessions, wayfinding and donor signage, and complete restroom renovations.
