24 hours in Big Sur
Big Sur is known for its rugged coastline, the winding highway 1, turquoise surf at popular beaches, rocky cliffs and photogenic bridges, but my favorite part of this stretch of coast is the ever changing fog. I lucked out and spent a full 24 hours in Big Sur under, amidst and above a sea of clouds. Sometimes the fog completely swallowed the landscape, while other times is created an ethereal veil through the trees. Some moments it looked like waves lapping the shore, and other times like the softest wooly blanket you've ever seen. For me best part about fog is its ability to disperse light and therefore transform color, creating a surreal atmosphere.
