Final Major Project

Final Major Project
My Final Major Project consisted of three different projects that focused on the COVID-19 lockdown from March the 23rd to the mild unlock in July 2020. Each project looks at a different aspect of the lockdown and were titled, 'Barbican', 'Little Tey', and 'The Bell Inn'. 'Barbican' looked at people living in built up residential areas and the "Stay at home" rule, 'Little Tey' followed the 1 hour of exercise each person was allowed each day and 'The Bell Inn' focused a single pub in a local village which was forced to close, looking in particular at the people who owned it, worked there and drunk there.
Barbican
During the lockdown I was unable to make my way to London to take images so asked the people of the barbican to take them for me on phones and cameras. I was able to collect over 50 images and collate them into a book along with answers to questions I asked the people who sent me images.
Little Tey
The second book produced is a series of 24 images taken for 24 days in a row, the images where of the hourly walk I would take each day around the small village of Little Tey where I live.
The Bell Inn
The Bell Inn is my local pub and holds many memories for me. In the lockdown there was a chance the pub would close. This gave me the idea of researching into its history and talk to people who used to own the pub and chat about their memories and share mine as well. The book consists of images and stories accompanied by 12 beer mats with images and quotes from the people that kindly shared their memories with me. These could then be sent to the pub and used within to share the history and other people memories.
